Steppenwolf's Yasen Peyankov to conduct workshop at the 2006 R.I.T.C.

Yasen Peyankov received a Joseph Jefferson award for Steppenwolf's Morning Star. Other memorable appearances at Steppenwolf include Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, Hysteria and The Duel, produced in association with European Repertory, the Chicago company Yasen co-founded. His translation of Chekhov's Ivanov, produced by European Repertory, was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Adaptation and is published by Ivan R. Dee. Yasen was born in Varna, Bulgaria and trained at the The National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts of Sofia, Bulgaria.

American Choreographer Kate Foley to visit with the 2006 Collective.

Choreographer, Dancer, Director, Filmmaker, and Teacher Kate
Foley is currently developing dance projects that incorporate
multiple media. Of special interest to Ms. Foley are international
community building projects. From 1986-1989, she founded and
directed dance companies in New York and San Francisco, and in
1991, she founded the nonprofit organization House of Dance, Inc.
to promote dance in various forms. She produced and directed
house of dance, a cable television series serving the dance community
in San Francisco. As resident choreographer for Ulysses Theatre in
Croatia, Ms. Foley worked on large scale productions of King Lear (2001)
and Medea (2002). A practitioner of Iyengar yoga since 1982, she
teaches in a wide variety of contexts including universities, clinics,
prisons and dance festivals. Originally from Seattle, her grants and
honors include a Fulbright Fellowship, three National Endowment for
the Arts Choreography Fellowships, and a National Initiative to Preserve
American Dance Fellowship in Video Documentation.

Canadian Director Michael Devine will visit with the 2006 Collective.

Michael has devised and directed productions and workshops in Hungary,
Romania, Finland, Serbia & Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Kosova, and
his native Canada. Also an actor, dramaturg, playwright, and artistic
director, he is a professor of Theatre Studies at Acadia University in
Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and regularly publishes articles on acting,
Newfoundland drama, and theatrical interculturality. In 2006, Michael
will return to Europe to create and direct productions in Serbia,
Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Kosova, and will lead a performance
workshop in Romania and Greece entitled BOXWHATBOX, which he has been
conducting internationally for the past ten years. For more information
